Presentation:

¡Hello!
My name is Laura Penas and I invite you to visit my latest pieces.
My country of origin is Argentina and for the past nine years I have lived in Madrid.
Due to a personal interest in the care of our environment, I decided to produce my collages with recycled naturally occuring elements, ecologically sound paint, varnishes and glues that arn't harmful to one's health or the environment.
This interest led to the writing of my doctorate thesis, that specifically deals with the use of ecologically sound materials in artistic work, which hasn't yet been concluded since I am continually experimenting and collecting information. So if any of you are looking into these sort of materials and you would like to tell me about your experiences please do so by clicking here.
